The Man

Mateen A Khan is a Chicago-based creative entrepreneur, founder and owner of M.A.K Studios, Inc, and host of M.A.K Studios Podcast.

Holds a bachelor's degree in fashion marketing and merchandising management, certification in advertising graphics, and is professionally trained in commercial photography.

Born and raised in Saudi Arabia to a family of businesspeople. His first inspiration came from his grandfather, Moinuddin A Khan, a garment factory owner, who migrated from India to Pakistan after 1947. A hard-working, honest man who came to Pakistan with dreams and a firm belief to only work for himself and never to be employed by anyone.

Mateen A Khan began his career in 2000 at 18 in Karachi, Pakistan, while in college pursuing a degree in fashion design.

Mentored by his maternal uncle, Mirza Masood Baig, Owner of Current Fashion and a diploma holder from the Tailor & Design Centre, London.

Mateen A Khan not only learned the creative aspects of the fashion business but was also trained to be an honest businessman, marketer, and salesperson who understands his clients' needs and provides the best possible products and services.

In 2001, Mateen A Khan started his graphic design career; in 2009, he began fashion photography, and in 2011, he launched M.A.K Studios in Karachi, Pakistan. His portfolio includes business development, managing high-end designer retail businesses in Dubai, U.A.E.

Mateen A Khan has worked with some of the most prestigious names, including Chicago FashionBar Week, Runway Latinx, and the Los Angeles Fashion Show. Mateen A Khan was voted Photographer of the Year at LAFS 2023-24.
